TALK AT AHILYA
30 Jul 09 was a milestone in my lecture cum training rndeavour. It was this day that I was giving my first paid talk. Yes I had to conduct a workshop for the staff of Ahilya Eye Hospital at Walayar on Attitude & Organisatioinal commitment. I arrived at that location from Thrissur after a 2 hour drive at 2.30 p.m. and commenced my talk in their auditoriium at 3 pm. There were about 50 to 60 people present from amongst their staff, nursing students, administrative staff etc. After an introduction by their materials manager, Mr Shiva Prasad, I commenced the programme with a numerical ice breaker. The audience were quite unresponsive and I had to goad them to interact. I am sure that they have the potintial to be moulded. I went through the first part within an haour and ten minutes after which I announced a short break. The second sessions was mainly consolidation of the main ideas. I rounded off the presentation withe Old Womans, slides and was pleasantly surprised that quite a few did manage to see the other picture! The vote of thanks proposed by thir HR Maanager Mr Avtar Krishna really floored me. Any way with Gods grace I was able to do justice to the subject. Thank you God !
