Mukkapuzha ' BALETTAN ' - END OF AN ERA

On Sat 01 Aug MMK rings up at around 3 p.m. to inform us of the sad demise of Balettan Unni's father. Amidst a feeling of melancholy and relief one was forced to think or reflect on the life of this simple yet great individual who epitomised simplicity, values and reverence to his Tharavad and its members. A great fan of the Nediyamveetil Tharavad, his father incidentally was its 'KARANAVAR' at one time, he was always in awe of its members especially my grandmother in whose presence he never sat. A man who led a very humble and austere life he was a role model for good behavior for all the youngsters of my generation. Very God fearing and sincere he was a compassionate human being. I am told he had a very peaceful death and that was the least the poor man could have got for the near blemishless life he led. May God Rest His Soul in Peace.
